THE ALIEN CITIZENS

My first year in the tertiary institution, I offered a course titled "citizenship education".  My expectations of an engineering student ebbed cause I imagined strictly physics and mathematics.... I never knew the importance of the course and I want to believe the lecturers didn't know the importance also.  And so I wasn't interested in knowing the practicals. Fortunately, the education board didn't even make provision for practicals in that course....  Don't blame me if I still decide to believe that the education board also doesn't know the importance of the course.  I guess it was a usual copyright from UK or USA.

Solving the problems of Nigeria is as difficult as bisecting an ant to carry out a heart surgery or instead we could learn practical citizenship from the ants.

It wasn't your choice to be a Nigerian but God's choice. So why discriminate and hurt another Nigerian because of your choice of land, religion, career......  Do you place your choice above that of your creator?

Remember, You cannot succeed in a nation you don't love. Obama was the president of USA but still remains a son of Kenya..... The leopard can never change it skin. You can buy a house but you can't buy a home...... Nigeria is home!

  1. Love indeed is a necessity for a nation to thrive. nice write up.

But i must throw this in, the University system wasn't designed to be a sit-down-let-me-teach-you-all-you-need-to-know kind of institution. it's an institution where you hunt for knowledge.
That your lecturers didn't spoon-feed you doesn't mean they didn't know what they were doing.
