QUITTING ADDICTION AS EASY AS ABCD

It is important to note that, you can't solve spiritual problems with physical measures. In other words, identifying the class of the problem is a step closer to solving the problem. Here are little tips to help you come out of whatever addictions you find yourself in.

Before ever thinking you can quit that addiction, it has to come from you, no one can force you into quitting what you don't want to quit. So it all starts with your decision to quit. And that ushers you into the ABCD step to putting a final stop to that addiction.
Yes!, quitting an addiction is as easy as ABCD

A-affirmation: Your mind is divided into three, the conscious, sub conscious and unconscious. But we shall dwell on the first two. Your conscious and subconscious mind work like a master and slave. The conscious is the master, while the subconscious is the slave, fortunately you can control your conscious but it's very difficult to control the subconscious. The subconscious is responsible for little things like blinking of eyes, hiccups..... Now the deal is, it is what your conscious wants that your subconscious brings to reality. Like it is said, "the power of life and death is in the tongue". Control your words, use affirmations like, I love reading, I love eating healthy and try by all means to eliminate negations like, I "don't" love video games, I will "not" eat junk food anymore cause it is what you mention that the subconscious picks whether it has a "not" or "don't" in front of it.  So control your life by controlling your words.

B-believe- Believe is one of the greatest forces on earth. What you don't believe can't work for you. Believe today that you hate smoking or you hate watching porn and you'll be amazed at the mighty works the power of believe can do.

C-capture- it is not enough to believe without capturing your believe in your thoughts.
"as a man thinks so he is"-Holy Bible,
"you are what you think"-Buddha,
"what you think about, you bring about"- Vincent nightingale.
I believe my point has been properly delivered on this.

D-discuss- Be open to discuss your addiction with one who can help, your parents, your doctor, your spiritual heads..... You would be surprised to know how many people had battled such addiction in the past and that will give you a bit of relief knowing that you are not to be chastised and that there's a way out for you. But be careful who you discuss with, don't discuss your marrital issues with a single friend. Be wise.

While going through the ABCD process to quit your addictions, endeavors to put away things that can take you back, if you find yourself playing video games because of loneliness, then pick a book and go far away from your video game, if you watch porn when you are alone, try not to be alone, you could put a ban on all porn sites you know on your phone, use a password you'll never remember. To quit a bad habit, you have to replace it with a good habit. You could give yourself deadlines, like try going a week without eating junk and if you pass it add another week and another and another. If along the line you fall out and find yourself tasting a piece of cake before your deadline, it is not enough reason for you to give up because of that little mistake and then you go back to your old ways. It takes commitment and consistency. It takes 21-90 days to quit a habit. Be patient and consistent.

You might think, these are too easy, this must be a joke but here's one testimony out of the numerous testimonies where the ABCD rule worked. "there was a young guy who was bed-wetting for a long time after birth and whenever he was being asked when he was going to stop, he would always say at age 10, he affirmed it, believed it, captured himself not bed-wetting after age 10 although he was too afraid and embarrassed to discuss it but immediately he clocked age 10, he stopped bed-wetting, they were measures he took to achieve that but he achieved it with the help of the ABCD. So it's up to you.
